Our Responsibility To Patients

At Shotton Lane we strongly believe that care is a two-way process. It is impossible to provide our service without your help and understanding. We have always believed ourselves fortunate in having the support of our patients.

If our receptionists ask you for the reason behind your request for an appointment - this is to ensure that they can fit you in with the correct person with the correct degree of urgency.

If you have already been seeing one doctor for a particular medical problem, please try and make any further appointments for that problem with the same doctor.

We feel our patients are entitled to courtesy and consideration from all the practice team, and, likewise, our staff are entitled to the same treatment.

We operate a zero tolerance policy with regards to abuse and assaults on our staff. Patients will be removed from our list immediately and the police may be involved.

It is especially important that if an appointment cannot be kept you inform us in good time. We are all human, so if you forget, please take the trouble to contact us and acknowledge the omission. It really makes all the difference.
