Home visits are only provided when the doctor feels the medical condition makes a surgery consultation impossible. If you think a visit is required ring before 10.00am. The doctor may also phone you back. Do give details of the problem requiring the visit. Tell the receptionist if the problem is urgent.
In the time it takes to do one home visit we can see six patients within the surgery. The surgery is better equipped than the doctors bag for examination, treatment and access to your medical record. Visits are not undertaken for the sole reason that a patient has no transport. If you have moved outside of the practice area you should register with a nearby practice who will be able to visit you if necessary.
Important - Coronavirus Update
If you are self-isolating at home as advised by the government guidelines and your condition has deteriorated you must inform 111 who will liaise with ourselves as to whether a visit with full protective equipment is required.
