Following the retirements of Drs Outerial and Stigglebout, patient appointments are now in short supply
We are actively searching to try and recruit more doctors to the surgery but there is a nationwide shortage of General Practitioners. Most practices in Wales and in the UK in general are having problems replacing staff.
While we try to find new permanent staff, we will be utilising the services of a number of locum doctors who are all fully qualified General Practitioners. Please do not be afraid to come to see these doctors, especially for new problems. They will have the same access to your medical history that the regular doctors do.
Please help us to help you by using the appointments system responsibly and appropriately and help the receptionists to find you the most appropriate spot. We wish to maintain our current "open access" system however it is under threat if demand for slots excedes those which we have available. Consider whether you might be better consulting your pharmacist or NHS 111 for advice.
